Born in Kealakekua, Hawai’i, and raised in Pu’u Anahulu on the Big Island of Hawai'i, Ku’ulei offers her positivity and light wherever she goes!  After graduating with honors with a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Hawai’i, she and a group of educators founded Kanu O Ka 'Aina, the first bilingual, place & project based charter school.  Currently she holds the position as Curator of the Ka’upulehu Interpretive Center at Kalaemano.

We are so fortunate to have Ku’ulei as a kumu (teacher) for our yoga teacher training. She will be offering students a cultural perspective of Aloha, Hawaiian Healing Principles, and the use of story to convey the power and beauty of this land. Students of the training will be guided through writing assignments, Oli (chant), and have a chance to spend some meditation time in nature.  This will certainly be a wonderful and unique highlight to the training as we learn how to heal our own body, mind & spirit through the practice of yoga.
